Important FAQ

The premise of this question may seem daunting, but it’s really very simple. At least the first steps are… The first thing you need is a place to build. Do you already have land or have a place in mind? If so, the next step would be to find a floor plan that really works for you and fits your needs (and ideally your “wants” as well). Once you have that information, the team here at Nex-Gen can help you determine both the feasibility of your plan(s) for the property in question and walk you through the budget process to get you on the road to sleeping in that new home you are envisioning!

We appreciate you taking the time to reach out to us and we want to show that by responding in a timely manner. Overall, we typically respond to inquiries within 1-2 business days. If you are a current customer, you will have a point of contact for your project specifically.

Pre-Sold listings are not our preferred route of construction. While we do purchase property and build homes to sell, the majority of those are built in house and not listed until late in the build. It is our preference to work on a cost plus basis with our homeowners. In the current environment, we have found that this process best protects both the homeowner and builder and allows you to get the best price possible. However, we have pre-sold for some past clients and will happily consider that if it is your preference.

One of our most frequently asked questions, and unfortunately it is not a cookie-cutter answer. I would say we average around 6 months on custom builds, but that timeline is greatly impacted but a number of factors. Size and level of finishes are two of the main driving forces. In recent years, material shortages and price fluctuation has impacted timelines, but I would say that the other big factor is the weather/time of year that you are building. We have built through it all and dealt with all of the above outside factors. The good news is that the house can still be built and that initial feeling you get when you walk in the door at completion is worth the wait!

We typically do not take on home remodels. (i.e. Kitchen/Bathroom renovations). However, we will consider doing additions that may encompass some renovations for both residential and commercial work. We evaluate those on a case-by-case basis. Our primary focus is governed by how we can best serve our commercial and residential new construction clientele.
